Fans and avid boxing aficionados are all following the next fight of undefeated Floyd Mayweather Jr. against the pound for pound king Manny “Pacman” Pacquiao on the go for the another time. However, the negotiations seems off again at the beginning of February 2012 where Mayweather released a tweet message that he is scheduled to face the Puerto Rican superstar Miguel Cotto on May 5. The Mayweather vs Cotto is officially on scheduled to takes place at the MGM Grand Garden Arena, Las Vegas, NV.

Floyd Mayweather Jr. appealed to the court to allow him to fight on May 5 and let the 90 day sentence begin on June 1 due to his domestic violence case. The court obviously allowed him due to his commitment to the promoter in Las Vegas for this fight that will surely bring folds of money to the economy of the place. On the other hand, Miguel Cotto comes from a very great fight to the man who gave his first lost Antonio Margarito.
